§ 2.08.020. Anticipated prospective vacation, sick, compensatory and buy-out benefits falling due upon voluntary or involuntary separation or severance of an employee from the municipality.

    The chief financial officer shall determine and report annually to the mayor and council all unfunded liabilities concerning anticipated prospective vacation, sick, compensatory and buy-out benefits falling due upon voluntary or involuntary separation or severance of an employee from the municipality.

    B.

    All payments to be made to any employee for any anticipated prospective vacation, sick, compensatory and buy-out benefits shall only be authorized by ordinance. The ordinance shall be published in the official newspaper or the municipality setting forth the time and date for the public hearing on second reading thereof. The public shall have the right to comment on the proposed ordinance at the public hearing for second reading.
